How does it work?
The tool analyzes the color distribution of your reference image — how its shadows, midtones and highlights are tinted, how saturated and contrasty it is — and builds a color transform that moves your photo toward that look. The result is baked into a standard 3D LUT (33×33×33, .cube format) you can download and reuse anywhere.
Is the extracted LUT identical to the original one?
Not exactly — no tool can recover the precise LUT from a single image, because nobody knows what the image looked like before grading. What you get is a faithful look transfer: the mood, palette and tonal balance of the reference, adapted to your photo. For best results, load the photo you actually want to grade before exporting — the LUT is optimized for it.
What do Shadows, Midtones, Highlights and Tint do?
They fine-tune the extracted look on top of the color transfer: Shadows, Midtones and Highlights each add or remove local contrast in that tonal zone, so you can crush the blacks, flatten the mid-range or protect the highlights without touching the rest of the image. Tint pushes the whole image along the green–magenta axis, the same control you'd find as "Tint" in Lightroom or DaVinci Resolve. All four are baked into the exported .cube, so what you preview is exactly what you get.
Where can I use the .cube file?
Anywhere 3D LUTs are supported: Premiere Pro (Lumetri Color), DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop (Color Lookup adjustment layer), Lightroom (via profiles), OBS, and most modern cameras and video apps.
Is it really private?
Yes. There is no upload: all processing happens in your browser using canvas and JavaScript. Close the tab and nothing remains.
