How does it work?

The image is shifted by half its width and height (wrapping around), which moves the original edges to the middle — right where they'll butt up against the next tile. Near that seam, the shifted image is cross-faded back into the original image, which is naturally continuous there. The result keeps full sharpness everywhere: no blur, no mirror artifacts — just two aligned layers of the same texture fading into each other.

What does "Blend width" control?

The size of the cross-fade band around the seam. A wider band hides the transition better on coarse textures (big rocks, foliage clumps) but mixes more of the two layers; a narrow band keeps more of the tile unique but can leave a visible ghosting line on busy textures. Watch the 3×3 preview and pick the narrowest width that hides the seam.

Why doesn't it work on bricks or tiled patterns?

This tool blends pixels near the edges — it doesn't understand or preserve a repeating grid, brick offset, or straight lines. On a geometric pattern, the blended seam will visibly interrupt the rows and columns. For that kind of source, you need a pattern-aware tool (or an image that's already a clean, unbroken repeat unit).

Is it really private?

Yes. There is no upload: all processing happens in your browser using canvas and JavaScript. The downloaded PNG is rendered at the full resolution of your original photo, right on your machine.
